Which Buick Encore Has Leather Seats?
Drivers have created a timeless debate between cloth and leather seating. Leather seating was originally only available in high-end vehicles, but is now available in select trims on most affordable vehicles as well. While many still consider leather seats the more luxurious option, others actually prefer cloth seating instead for various reasons. Some manufacturers even offer another option called synthetic leather, or leatherette. This gives the look and feel of leather, but is not actually made up of real leather material. Synthetic leather has its own set of benefits as well, fixing some of the shortcomings of both cloth and leather.
Buick is considered a luxury car brand. With this in mind, it seems like no surprise that their vehicles may offer a leather seating option or two on certain models. The Encore is one of the company’s top selling vehicles. Which trims of this SUV offer leather seating? McNeill Chevy Buick can help.
2022 Buick Encore
The 2022 Encore consolidated its available trim options into one sole trim. It also released a new engine option – a 1.4L engine. Lastly, the front seatbacks of the vehicle also gained map pockets. While this is the newest rendition of the crossover SUV, we are still in our first generation of production for the vehicle; the Encore has been on the market since 2013.

2021 Buick Encore
The 2021 Encore offered two trim options: the Encore, and the Encore Preferred. This subcompact SUV offers 18.8 cubic feet of trunk space or 48.8 cubic feet of space with the second row folded down. This is above average for the class, and a ton of space for a subcompact vehicle. The Encore also received above average safety ratings from JD Power for the year.
The Encore offered simulated leather seating on both of its trims, however, leather is not an option.
2020 Buick Encore
In 2020, the Encore had four trim options available. These included the 1SV, Preferred, Sport Touring, and Essence. It had standard front-wheel drive, and a quiet cabin. The 2020 model made quite a few cuts from the year before. These include discontinuing the 153 horsepower engine and getting rid of the turn signal in the side mirrors. The Sport Touring option also lost features like navigation, climate control, and a self-dimming mirror.
This Encore offered simulated leather seating on all trims, and leather seating on the Essence trim.
2019 Buick Encore
2019 is the year that the Encore dropped to four trim levels. It offered an intuitive infotainment system for its drivers. This includes IntelliLink infotainment, Buick Connected Services, OnStar, an 8-inch touchscreen, two USB ports, Bluetooth, a six speaker audio system, and more. It received 4.5/5 on its reliability from JD Power for this year.

2018 Buick Encore
No major changes occurred in 2018 for the Encore. However, Buick added a capless fuel fill and an HD radio to the Encore. The vehicle has great fuel economy – with 27 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. Between the efficiency of the Encore as well as its added amenities, the vehicle is high luxury in a small package.

2017 Buick Encore
In 2017, the Encore refreshed its interior and exterior styling. It received a push-button start and keyless entry, as well as new exterior paint colors. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities became standard, and a new 4.2” driver information screen was added. Drivers frequently praise this Encore for its smooth, enjoyable ride.

2016 Buick Encore
The Sport Touring trim was added to the 2016 Encore, with a more fuel efficient 1.4L 153 horsepower engine. This brought the amount of available trims to five: Encore, Convenience, Sport Touring, Leather, and Premium. For the third year the Encore was available to the public, the Department of Transportation gave it a perfect safety rating. The vehicle also sports an attractive and comfortable cabin.

2015 Buick Encore
The 2015 Buick Encore offers many standard features, including new standard Wi-Fi through OnStar. It also includes features such as quiet tuning with active noise cancellation within the cabin. Some additional features in the vehicle include a 7-inch touchscreen, cruise control, a backup camera, and Bluetooth as standard on all trims. The Buick’s all-wheel drive is “on-demand,” which means that it will turn on when the wheels begin to slip before it reverts back to front-wheel drive for the best fuel economy.
